Though it was a completely different game than what we’ve come to know as GTA V after the PC release, in terms of graphics and content. And even then I remember grabbing snacks to watch the loading screen…

As greedy as GTA V was with its multiplayer, Rockstar has a history of releasing a good single player base game before they start with that, and looking as GTA VI leaked map, I don’t see that changing now. It’ll definitely be nothing more than a single player experience for me though.

Plus, were might have to wait one or two years to play it on PC, especially on Linux, so there’s a lot of time for considerations…

“If you’re a real fan, you’ll find a way” to play it through the crashes 🤷‍♂️

I personally think Outer Wilds should give you the whole lore as an audiobook, not everyone wants to go hunting for clues and reading a bunch of old conversations between dead people in order to figure out what’s going on…

Average corporate slop vibe coded web services vs weakest two man 7 year in development side project

Everyone in the comments making such a huge deal of account security when literally all Rockstar had to do was allow people to unlink their Steam accounts from Social Club. It could even be done in their own launcher, with the credentials of the Steam account that actually owns the game. Then people could just make a new Social Club account, it’s not worth shit anyways.

They’re locking people out of playing a local, offline game, over some decade old account that I used my spam email for, and now I’m supposed to remember it? Get a fucking grip bro.

Social Club is the kind of account you use a throwaway email for, and just use whatever random nickname isn’t taken yet. I, personally, have no idea what the email or nickname to my Social Club account are. I also have bought GTA V through Steam back in 2015 and haven’t lived into Social Club since. I think it’s perfectly fair to expect that your Steam account shouldn’t be hijacked by Rockstar upon linking it to one Social Club account once.

At the very least, if they’re gonna have a Rockstar launcher, it should allow you to unlink your Steam account through it, using your Steam credentials, and free it up to link to a new Social Club account.

Don’t care, show me good gameplay and good reviews, then I’ll consider buying it.

Why are games nowadays 99% careful wording, business decisions and clout, and 1% game?

And the Deckard will be announced by the end of the year… Or maybe next year…

Copium

Either way, Mastercard and Visa can’t see direct purchase details, they rely on user reports to tell which services are “unsafe” by their “standards”. We need to actually spam them with complaints, that’s the only way they’ll rollback on this.

Indie is the future of all entertainment. The Ironmouse x Vshojo situation just proved it. And I mean, look at the shithole Hollywood and the music industry have been for the last century or so…

There are no entertainment industries that don’t exploit the artists who make the actual product.

“But it’s still mostly the same team, please give us the benefit of the doubt 😭😭😭😭”

Don’t be stupid, don’t buy from a publisher before the 1.0 release

Btw, John Romero was the lead designer for Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and Quake. He’s basically one of the inventors of the FPS genre. Way to go, Microsoft…

“Developers” are the ones who are passionate about the games they make, and definitely don’t want their games dead.

“Corporations” are the ones who only want to profit from selling the game, and then ditch it once it’s no longer lucrative enough.

It’s one possible solution for one of the problems under the same umbrella. If you can’t or don’t want to run the servers for your online game (eg: Echo VR), just open source the server’s code and let the community keep the game running.

Absolute fucking clown. He’s just scared of open sourcing old games because everyone will see how shitty his code is…

They had already hinted they wanted to make Subnautica 2 into a multiplayer co-op, and they specifically mentioned “games as a service”.

After backlash, they specified the multiplayer would be optional, and “games as a service” means long term updates, not microtransactions, which sounds suspiciously like a rollback to me…

I was already kind of expecting that, seeing as below zero’s map wasn’t half as interesting as the first game, the storytelling was mid, and the mechanics were all over the place, like they just wanted to make another hit by shooting in every direction, with half the work put into it.

“Then buy me this game”

“No”

As a young man, I’m just waiting for the AGI breakthrough, so it either fixes the fucking government, or wipes us out. Win-win.

Used to be Destiny 2, just after launch.

It became the worst case of pay to win I’ve ever known…

“Hide” is such a stupid concept when it comes to anything online. I guess this generation didn’t see the Streisand effect first hand.
