I love the art style of the psp versions so I have settled into that one. So far it’s way more narrative than part 1 and I’m enjoying that a lot more.

I’ve convinced myself to think of the leveling system as more of an elder scrolls game and that’s helped me like it a lot more than I would have otherwise, going in expecting a traditional rpg style system.

I like it a lot so far!

I’m working on it!

Started playing all the games I missed growing up that I really wanted to play, in chronological order.

Just beat the psp version of Final Fantasy. Next up I’m trying to decide if I should play the pixel remaster for part II, or just the psp version of that one, too.

Oh fuck, I should learn to finish sentences, I’m not sure I can blame this one on my unregulated adhd lmao

While likely true nothing is making you give them money to enjoy it.

I’ve been playing off and on since it came out and have never given them a damn cent, and have really enjoyed it.

It’s like a white supremacy meeting.

Dude, same.

As someone that has played all the games more for the combat than the story I was really disappointed by the newer ones.

The combat felt so much clunkier and the movement in game was so heavy…?

The whole time I’m just trying to get through it and the story just feels like a rehashed version of the last one.

I’m glad other people liked it so much but I hated all the changes to the gameplay and just couldn’t get into it.

Flashbacks to when my daughter had just started walking and pressed the button on my Xbox while I was playing Assassin’s Creed 2, corrupting my save file at 90% completion.

I was like “no no no no!!! Ahhh…awwwwwww….”

Poor thing got so confused, I had to tell her it was alright but explain to her not to do that.

Couldn’t really get mad at them, they literally didn’t know they shouldn’t do that thing yet, lol, but damn did I have to start all over!

So you can’t have a good character or story unless it’s centered around whether the character is a man or a woman?

Where on Earth did you get that from my comment?

You’re gonna lose your mind when you hear about aliens, robots and other non sexed characters.

….which often is attached to specific unique narrative concepts for those types of characters, since they too share a unique world view that is helpful or even necessary to set the background and future specific storyline.

Well that’s not true at all. Men and women have different life experiences and that often is what drives a narrative.

You shut your face.

Kojima can speak for as long as he wants.

Also that’s extremely unfair since everything he said had to be repeated again through a translator.

*jesus, y’all are some hateful, bitter motherfuckers

And that trailer looked pretty promising…so what’s your take here? Or do you just hate optimists, in general? Because that’s okay, too!

Speculation, but he said his goal was to make the first actually explorable open world, world.

So I’m guessing they’re trying to make an entire world for you to explore, whether you enjoy that or not is going to be up to you and the type of games you look for.

Personally, I was never able to get into the Minecraft types so this probably won’t be for me, but if it’s good I’ll likely still give it a go.

But if I don’t pre-order the new Call of Duty while slamming down a Mountain Dew: Code Red, I’ll miss out on all of the experience boost bonuses and be left behind!

If we’re to believe his new marketing spiel, I think that the catch or the draw is that the entire world actually happens to be explorable this time.

Cash cow now making cheese? Though this cheese looked kinda delicious tho

Holy shit how did I miss this.

It even sounds just like him.

It’s a Scottish made satire of the absolute worst things America is known for…so…yeah…

Games were way lower fidelity and quicker to make back then, bro. It’s nowhere near the same thing.

This is a weird fucking place, bro.

Like, I thought reddit was full of bitter cynics, but only on Lemmy could I find an entire GAMING community that is angry at the next GTA game.

This place must be full of 55+ year olds or something.

Appreciate the perspective, I didn’t realize that.

Feeling a bit foolish but at least I learned something.

Here’s Bloober’s blunt response: “Konami is the publisher of the game and communication is definitely part of their job.”

I don’t think people should be bullying the developers over this shit, but also what a shitty response to the people simply being excited for your game and wanting you to share more of your work and progress with them.

It’s either extremely tone-deaf in today’s super interconnected era, or they are hiding something they’d rather people not see.

I’m going to have to go with the latter, because usually if you’re proud of your work/product, you are eager to show it off to people.

Totally worth it on ps5 if you’ve got one, the controller adds a lot of immersion to the whole thing as well, so it’s probably a better place to play it overall.

Circana executive director and analyst Matt Piscatella addressed this on Twitter, noting that Epic Games is “not part of the DLP, so digital sales are not included.”

Well that’s worthless, then.

According to the article the game would literally spawn enemies behind you quite often, that sounds more annoying than difficult.

Take two was actually one of the only publishers that had very small layoffs early in the year. They’ve been way better than most.

Y’all have a strangely strong emotional reaction to me just informing you that paying for the product works well as well.

Sometimes you pay for a product and it’s not what you expected or it sucks.

Id say the biggest problem with this reasoning is that these protests do not save millions of people, and that that number would be easy to reduce, that the only reason that those occur is that nobody fancies doing anything about it.

Yes, you’ve inexplicably stumbled upon the very reason these protests exist in the first place, while simultaneously not getting it AND ALSO setting the bar for success at the protestors themselves accomplishing what governments and oil companies should be doing.

And all because what?

It inconveniences you slightly while our planet and people go off the rails. Nicely done, this is precisely the type of thing we are fighting against just to get some damn renewables going faster.

Castlevania Symphony of The Night!

Apparently it released at a time when 3d graphics were the new hotness and it originally flew under the radar for a lot of people.

Loved every minute of it!

Blocking the ambulance was unfortunate but they had glued themselves to the road prior to its arrival and it simply did a u-turn and carried on and the passenger was fine. It’s not like they set out to block emergency vehicles on purpose.

Meanwhile:

In 2018, more than 8 million people died from the pollution caused by coal, oil, gas, and other fossil fuels. That accounts for nearly 1-in-5 of all deaths worldwide.

So on one hand we got people being inconvenienced and ultimately being fine, and on the other hand 5,749 people have died in the 6 hours since I originally commented here…

I disagree, some people get angry and then think about ways to make it stop, which gets them thinking about why people are doing the protests in the first place.
