I haven’t got past the early game where you’re scraping the map for technology to build a little wooden house.

Void Stranger, all of the ways it fucks with you even up to the end made it very memorable. The catharsis of finally getting it, and turning insurmountable challenges into not even a bump in the road was incredible. Place your faith in the void and jump in blind.

Hmm, maybe. I’ve seen Vinesauce Vinny’s rimworld LPs at they’re kinda fun, but I think playing it yourself’s a lot less frustrating.

The original NieR is best watched as an LP. I liked the old SBFP LP.

Well, yeah. That’s their name. I mean, it can be funny to name them fuckface or whatever, but his name is Chrono.

I was surprised how super in on hoyo stuff I was until I started doing the dailies and the checklists on the regular. I kinda ruined my approach into Honkai because by the time I got into it, I learned from genshin I needed to do those dailies to get a decent shot at getting characters I actually cared about. And then I didn’t make any progress, and didn’t get in like I did for genshin

Skyrim. I mostly just like to install a fuckzillion mods and not play it, though…

Void Stranger. The most powerful progression unlocking item is knowledge. The second most powerful is the

Sword (Sorry Tan, Gor says hi)

Heartbreaking that they decided static item attack rolls and DCs was a good idea. It’s my biggest gripe with the system. Some items, like the Holy Avenger, subvert this and are pretty good, but most items suuuuuck the instant you outlevel them. Like, Sparkblade is cool, who doesn’t like chain swordbeams? Anyone over level 4, aparrently, because every creature you come across has learned to dodge lightning from that sword in particular

Gamesir hasn’t done wrong by me yet. I can recommend the x5 lite over what you posted for size factor alone. I got a little case for it on the cheap and it can fit in sweatpants pockets (though not jeans). I think the bluetooth x2 comes with an even smaller case for free, though i prefer the usbc connection for pass through charging.

the fucking russian roulette clip inbetween idyllic cozy farm life music and adorable pokeslavery sent me, holy shit

CyberpunkDreams. It’s a text-based RPG about dealing crack in cincinnati to avoid doing honest labor (honest labor suuuuucks). It’s got the shitty f2p energy model but honestly I find that I can do pretty much whatever I set out to do (with the exception of entire questlines) in one session, with the caveat that I store actions as part of my IRL morning routine.

I just hustle grinded my way into some pipe bombs to fuck up the day of two goons out in the badlands who broke my ribs and made off with my employers money. My genuine hope is that this leads to steady employment as an enforcer, (to have something to put on my resume beyond crack dealer) but who knows.

I’m about to start EX mode in Void Stranger. The method to unlock it and the tail puzzle are the only two solutions I’ve just looked up for this game because holy shit do I not have the time for that lol.

Good game, with the exception of those two puzzles specifically

Ok but will vergil be able to do judgement cuts though? This is important

That’s not what the detective said. He SAID “I want to have fuck with you”

How’s CDDA these days? I jumped ship to CTLG instead and haven’t been keeping up with DDA

oh fuck i forgot about that. I had to stop playing atlas altogether because his 1 spam was brutal.

Warframe is an unconventional mmo, and there’s actually a bit of rpg in there too, moreso than I would’ve expected coming in. It’s great fun though.

I will say the mandatory trading for weapon and frame slots is kinda annoying, but gets less annoying as you progress and get more access to better grinds.

No, but also I don’t find the distinction all that critical. Watching an LP of the original NieR and the Drakengard games is an objectively better way to experience those games.

true on the only good mobile games not being mobile games, though you’re wrong about the number being small. Emulation means that entire console libraries are available. I’ve been plinking away at the SNES library for the past couple of years on my phone and am still spoiled for choice.

With the oddysey expac coming out soon, Rimworld at the easiest settings & Phoebe storyteller mode might just fit the bill. I low key kinda love growing crops and sending the elephants off to sell them. You could make a whole colony around growing stuff and ranching, and then using the upcoming travel overhaul to distribute your goods and upgrade your base & ship to reach further and sell more.

honest question. What’s stopping mainstream gamers from just playing the best codblops for the rest of their lives? Is there really any draw to these newer releases every time?

I still like warframe, even though it has a few headaches in there that make it more annoying than it needs to be. I don’t want to trade my ducat fodder or passive rep for slots and potatoes every time a new update comes out. But I do like dressing up my space dolls and blasting my trumna for hours on end

I can’t tell (and didn’t read the article lol), is the first one supposed to be Shart, and the second one Withers?

ordinaror voice: Pick up that flin. Now put it, in the petty soul gem crate.

A lot of the appeal of Bethesda Games is the almost meditative process of getting your 200 GB of mods running without crashing immediately, so I don’t even bat an eye at the claim that you like futzing with its settings.

There are real video games for phones now, and I’m pretty sure emulation is up to at least on the gamecube era. Slap a controller on it and a phone is pretty much just a hyper-powered gameboy advance.

Pyre is my all time favorite, it’s the only game i’ve ever platinumed and still kept playing to see a few more permutations. But by terms of sheer hours put in? Rimworld.
