I can say that as a 30 something, I get a lot more joy now going outside than I do gaming all day.

If I do game, I end up going back to a lot of the games from my youth through emulation. Nothing hits as hard as a PS2 game.

GTA 6 was something I was already planning to avoid. I’m sure it will be a technological achievement, but the fact that this game took close to a decade and a half to come out, I moved on from the idea of a new GTA game long ago.

Rockstar was happy to milk GTA 5 for that whole time rather than making new games the fans wanted. Sure RDR2 was released, but were fans really only wanting one game in a decade plus? Of course not. Why make a new game when you can make money from micro transactions in your current one. Basically acting like GTA landlords and expecting continued money while offering no real value to an old game. They even put a casino in GTA online, in case you needed a clearer idea of what their priorities are now.

GTA 6 will probably have a great story mode, but the GTA online garbage is coming too, guaranteed. It would not surprise me if the online components even find a way into the single player story. Not to mention the size this game will be on your system. I bet 200 gb - 300 gb and the probably higher price tag.

Now Rockstar is union busting. This is on top of all the toxic work environment flak they got for over working their employees in the RDR2 development.

Fuck you Rockstar, I don’t need a new game from you.

It will be like 13 years since GTA V. We should be on GTA VII almost right now, but here we are.

I am using RSS for keeping up on news and I defintely prefer it. The main thing I am missing is game notifications. Even if it could email me or show up in my calendar

Someone is desperate

It’s been great watching Ubisoft fail so spectacularly in the only thing big game companies seem to care about now, share price. It’s been a long time coming with their garbage practices. I remember when they were creative and used to try to make great games. Black Flag and Farcry 4 are still some of my favourite games.

Hopefully what is happening to Ubisoft and their share price scares the shit out of all the big gaming companies and forces them to listen to what gamers want rather than trying to get them to play live service games.

Sounds like a desperate attempt to keep shareholders happy after they admitted how far they are from having more first party titles.

PS5 is such a failure. They will make a lot of money from it, but it’s the generation that ruined PlayStations strong brand and trust

Been getting into emulation and replaying old games. This week I’ve been playing Simpsons H&R. Great game

When I saw that price tag for the pro, I knew that I had bought my last PlayStation console. If I decide to invest on new hardware, it will be a PC I can control rather than some locked box plugged into my TV.

I thought disk drives weren’t even useful on consoles anymore. Aren’t they basically just a key now to download the digital version onto your console.
