I would so much rather buy games from GOG but their Linux integration is just so much worse than Steam Big Picture, and I only play games using Linux from a couch with a controller.
Yes, it works, and I can and have done it for some titles, but it’s nowhere near ideal.
GW2 is a completely different game from the first one. No GvG, no RA, no more incredibly complex builds from combining two classes. I loved GW1 and really wished GW2 was “GW1, but you can jump now.”
If you trust Proton, you trust that they’ll remain e2ee securely. If you don’t trust Proton, you don’t trust that they’ll remain e2ee securely. I don’t trust Proton and actively avoid their products.
I don’t trust Proton at all, and Obsidian is a nicer experience for this anyway. I had a ton of old notes, and now that a new owner is taking them all, it’s time for me to delete my account and move on.
It took 2 years and an expansion before it was no longer “early access,” and as soon as it was actually good, they announced there would be no more updates.
Overwatch 2 was a train wreck from day 1. I hope Blizzard has a come-to-Jesus moment where they start focusing on the actual games, players, and fun instead of how to maximize battle pass sales.
But tying bonuses to products penalizes the little guys for management derailing the project to begin with.
