I bought mine a couple of months ago. Worth every cent.

What personal dramas have you witnessed with/among your fellow players while gaming?
One I will never forget was in SWTOR. I was the guild master of a pretty big guild. We had a young woman in the guild who was mute and whose microphone was always on mute in Teamspeak. After a few months, I noticed that her microphone was open one day. A good friend was with us when suddenly an unknown voice sounded in the channel. It was a guy's voice. Sighing and audibly shaken, he said he had to make a confession and get something off his chest. He said he was neither mute nor a woman and was struggling with serious mental health issues, but had decided to work on them. And setting the record straight was the first step. He knew that trust was now in tatters, apologized profusely, and left the TS server and the guild before my buddy or I could react. We were completely baffled, and it was the first time I had ever seen my buddy speechless. Unfortunately, the “ex-girl” didn't respond to any more PMs. Otherwise, I would have invited him back into the guild. What are your experiences?

Yeah, she was funny, too. And the seagull guy was definitely a highlight!

I’m still on my first playthrough (just arrived in the third area). What I particularly like about the humor is that it’s charming and mostly unexpected, rather than coming across as crude and heavy-handed.

I’m playing Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and there are some really funny moments.

There’s this quest where a corpse is hanging from a tree and asks you to deal with some creatures that come at night and do the sexy things where he can see them. Or two drunk guys in a tavern debating if a broken sword that has been reforged and it’s hilt replaced time and time again would still be the same sword. Or there is this undead crypt keeper, really happy to meet you.

Games were once created by gamers, who had a clear vision. It since became a soulless business and people notice. I think twice before opening my wallet now. I don’t pre-order, don’t spend more on digital gimmick editions and wait for reviews, first. Usually I can wait for sales. The industry’s problems are homemade. But once in a while I find rare gems like Forgive me Father. And I’m happy with that.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately it is, yes.

(PC) Chill farming games (non-Anime)?
It's Steam sale and I'm looking for chill farming/building games that do not look like Anime. The setting is secondary, because I've no idea what's out there. Can be in space, historical, fantasy, anything really and I'll have a look. I just don't like Anime style and forced cuteness. Would love to hear your suggestions!

I think you might like ‘Rogue Trader’, even if you don’t know anything about the 40K universe. Cool story, choices and fights.

Don’t worry too much about not knowing the background lore. The game contextualizes a lot in dialogues and even little mouseovers. But be careful, if you like SciFi, you might fall into the awesomely rich and grim rabbit hole, that is Warhammer 40K.

The Emperor protects.

Same here. Fortunately it’s PVE and I enjoyed it even more than the story campaign.

Have you tried Conquest Mode? Changes up things a bit and is definitely my highlight of the game.

Thanks so much for all the tips! Sounds like I’ll have to give Stellaris a go, when the next Sale drops.

Bannerlords 2 and the others you all mentioned, sound really interesting, too! Damn, the next Sale’s gonna kill me financially and socially.

Grand Strategy games?
Greetings to all! I've played Total War titles for years and enjoy building an empire. Now I would like to broaden my horizons and am looking for similar games that satisfy this itch. To categorize: in TW, 99% of the time I've only played the overarching map. The battles themselves are not that important to me. I am variable when it comes to the setting. I like Sci Fi very much, if there is something there! Who has tips for me?

I keep coming back to Insurgency: Sandstorm’s PVE modes. Man, what a underrated shooter!

I wish it had some better AI enemies, though.

[PC] Milsim(-ish) games against AI?
Insurgency Sandstorm got me hooked. I've now played over 500 hours against bots and it's still a lot of fun. Are there any comparable milsim(-ish) games against AI? - PC - I'm not interested in PVP - ARMA is great but for me more cramp than fun - Ground Branch feels more like a tech demo Do you have any tips for me? They don't have to be brand new games either.

If there’s a need for tips, your business model sucks and you should be ashamed of yourself.

If there’s no need for tips, you could just take some of your perverted bonuses or some of that ridiculous amount of money you take out of children’s pockets with micro transactions and show those people some love who did the actual work, you prick. They make millions and millions for you.

What a world we live in where asshats like that step forward and ejaculate their greed into the world and expect applause!

Disgusting.

Remnant 2 is still going strong here. My Dark Souls power fantasy - with guns n’ shit! Love it!

Remnant 2. Still haven’t got every item.

Remnant 2

So much cool stuff to do, so many things to try and glorious gunplay. Damn, I fell in love with that game.
