weren’t chucklefish the ones that strangled this game in the first place?
now take thus with a big chunk of salt, I do not remember at all if this is any true but feel like I read it somewhere

I’ve tested the beta yesterday and only had to enable SB and leave it in custom mode - no need to sign & enroll the linux kernel(s) too

Well one very good reason would be that their specification is closed source and as such not even HDMI Forum partner AMD can implement them in their open source driver.

https://www.phoronix.com/news/HDMI-Closed-Spec-Hurts-Open

DisplayPort spec is fully open btw.

played it on nix and it worked well in the beta, very cool game but the price tag is a bit steep

I’ve always used just Green With Envy but this seems just a bit more polished and active, nice

Hunt Showdown, it’s literally a slow shooter - old, single shot weapons and similar.

Have a few thousand hours between me and my friends, its decent but someone high up in Crytek seems to be pushing for “popularization” - it’s not as fun and slow-ish as it used to be.

There is a different game coming up with possibly slow game play too, HUNGER, not much known yet though.

Try if you can get syncterm on macos

Alright I was a bit too young to play anything like this at it’s peak, but I am interested. Do I understand it correctly that the way to play this would on a windows machine in cmd? Quickly tried alacritty and kitty terminals (linux) and I don’t think some of the stuff looks correct

EDIT:

Get syncterm, then just do syncterm telnet://tw.catsweat.com

This how the game entering should look like (it didnt look like this at all for me in any of the above term emus)

Usually if the author pulls the game you can’t get it anymore if you didn’t already have it before, afaik.

If you disagree, please do argue as much as possible about it. It boosts engagement.

If you have 13/14 Gen Intel and it errors out with random SIGILL errors you are being hit by the Intel instability problem.

At least for me that was the only place where the instability surfaced before bios updates and tweaks.

I’ve been using FX File Browser for the occasional need to share stuff localy - it opens a local web server where you can browse files on the phone.
Though it’s not foss and I am afraid that functionality is behind the plus version.

Stellaris with a friend, too much democracy (Helldivers).

You know what, I am gonna call skill issue.
I get that the “press R to join a group” can be overlooked or that not everyone has the intuition to click on the active missions on a planet (alright, these are currently bugged and do not refresh quick enough so always full).

But all one has to do is a quick google search to find out you just open the big holo planet and press R, there are also definitely worse offenders in cryptic/useless UIs.

The base game is already pretty packed, at least it was for me last time I played and it was 10/10 experience as they say.

Why does the headline seems to say new paid DLC is a problem? Considering this is the second one and there has been a shitton of bugfixes and QoL patches (and will be as the article itself says).

“Klei Entertainment Is Working On New DLCs For Oxygen Not Included, Alongside QoL Fixes” FTFY pcgamesn

Me and my friend didn’t feel like playing anything lately… so we bought PalWorld and for now it’s going good (though the mid-game is a bit too grindy).

What. The. Fuck?

It took few months for them to fix the reloading bug that sometimes did the animation but didn’t actually reload!
(This is a rather hardcore extraction shooter, imagine stuff just not working and you loosing the character because of that.)

Detailed damage in/output was added after years of community asking for it (actually, I am pretty sure we asked for replay system).

Cheaters, report button sure seems to be just for making you feel like you did something.

Who asked for flying drones beatles? In western shooter?

And the game still runs like shit.

The only reason why it’s still being played is first - because of the high risk, high reward loop and second - because your design department did a fantastic job on the characters, weapons and “story”.

Remotely? Probably no but locally the FX file explorer has a web ftp feature (it opens a web server on the device), there might be some chance you could pair that with tailscale app for access from anywhere.

Open Source/Community made/Free.
Total Annihilation remake - though today it’s definitely more then just a remake.

Power and heat-wise to performance I was pretty satisfied with 3070 but it’s just a feeling and (bad) comparison because now I have 3080 and that chugs power huffs heat lol

I will go back to this game once I see the promised new engine version.
Lately it felt as if only dlcs got the main attention.

Was just thinking of trying out RoR2 and hopefully getting my group to play it (eventually).

I guess I will wait a bit and see how it goes.

I had a similar question few weeks ago, check it out https://biglemmowski.win/post/267187 (https://lemmy.world/post/7024053)

If you are looking for just easy root and/or good ROM support then Pixels come out on top.

How did I not notice the 5, I have read the specs for 4 at least twice but the 5 has it all (OLED screen, 4k+ MAh battery, 5G support, fingerprint scanner in button, 8/256G), oh yeah…

Thank you for the long answer. I am somewhat torn between Fairphone and Pixel.

I don’t think I will ever own iPhone - in short I do not like Apple and the whole walled garden thing, though I do agree these are best devices for long-term use especially when it comes to security updates. I am also aware Google is not much better and if I get a Pixel I am definitely flashing it with Lineage.

Looking for new long-term Android with ability to flash (good, working) ROM
I have been using xiaomi phones for a long time now, for most of them the (xda) community eventually had great ROMs that (eventually) worked without problems or with very little. Though these days I need a working phone so I didn't bother with my (Mediatek) Note 8 Pro - last time I looked phones with these chips were a lot harder and more dangerous to flash then the Qualcomms I had before (loved my Xiaomi A1 for that tinkering with Ressurection Remix). So I am looking for an investment - a device I won't have to replace for another ~6+ years but I really want my device to do mostly what I would expect, without any snooping or other privacy shenannigans - I know xiaomi is probably the worse choice for this but their hardware specs were always the best for the price and were generally easy to flash. I don't like pixels - they are too expensive for the hardware it offers, at least in my country. Thank you for any tips in advance. Update: iPhone is a no go for me because of the walled garden - I am a software developer by trade and hobbyist, I like to have the possibility of cracking the device open, both HW and SW wise. I am willing to trade the longevity of the device for this.

> Every Item, Entity, and Equipment has 5 possible qualities now, and each quality tier gives an improved bonus value, used for most of the stuff What are your feelings about this addition to Factorio? (Will be part of coming expansion and optional)
