Well one very good reason would be that their specification is closed source and as such not even HDMI Forum partner AMD can implement them in their open source driver.

DisplayPort spec is fully open btw.
Hunt Showdown, it’s literally a slow shooter - old, single shot weapons and similar.
Have a few thousand hours between me and my friends, its decent but someone high up in Crytek seems to be pushing for “popularization” - it’s not as fun and slow-ish as it used to be.
There is a different game coming up with possibly slow game play too, HUNGER, not much known yet though.
Alright I was a bit too young to play anything like this at it’s peak, but I am interested. Do I understand it correctly that the way to play this would on a windows machine in cmd? Quickly tried alacritty and kitty terminals (linux) and I don’t think some of the stuff looks correct
EDIT:
Get syncterm, then just do syncterm telnet://tw.catsweat.com
This how the game entering should look like (it didnt look like this at all for me in any of the above term emus)

You know what, I am gonna call skill issue.
I get that the “press R to join a group” can be overlooked or that not everyone has the intuition to click on the active missions on a planet (alright, these are currently bugged and do not refresh quick enough so always full).
But all one has to do is a quick google search to find out you just open the big holo planet and press R, there are also definitely worse offenders in cryptic/useless UIs.

The base game is already pretty packed, at least it was for me last time I played and it was 10/10 experience as they say.
Why does the headline seems to say new paid DLC is a problem? Considering this is the second one and there has been a shitton of bugfixes and QoL patches (and will be as the article itself says).

What. The. Fuck?
It took few months for them to fix the reloading bug that sometimes did the animation but didn’t actually reload!
(This is a rather hardcore extraction shooter, imagine stuff just not working and you loosing the character because of that.)
Detailed damage in/output was added after years of community asking for it (actually, I am pretty sure we asked for replay system).
Cheaters, report button sure seems to be just for making you feel like you did something.
Who asked for flying drones beatles? In western shooter?
And the game still runs like shit.
The only reason why it’s still being played is first - because of the high risk, high reward loop and second - because your design department did a fantastic job on the characters, weapons and “story”.

Edit: Some of these are not necessarily indies (solo or small team devs), it’s more like indie/niche games I consider good.
Non Steam (yet):
Not in any specific order, my steam library is about 80% either Indie or non-AAA.

I had a similar question few weeks ago, check it out https://biglemmowski.win/post/267187 (https://lemmy.world/post/7024053)
If you are looking for just easy root and/or good ROM support then Pixels come out on top.

Thank you for the long answer. I am somewhat torn between Fairphone and Pixel.
I don’t think I will ever own iPhone - in short I do not like Apple and the whole walled garden thing, though I do agree these are best devices for long-term use especially when it comes to security updates. I am also aware Google is not much better and if I get a Pixel I am definitely flashing it with Lineage.

weren’t chucklefish the ones that strangled this game in the first place?
now take thus with a big chunk of salt, I do not remember at all if this is any true but feel like I read it somewhere
