I never finished this title, so I’m replaying it in preparation for the new sequel. I had forgotten how dang stunning this game is. It’s a handful of years old now, and on ultra settings, still looks better than most modern titles.

There’s a million reasons why in the professional world it’s common for developers to have some sort of personnel buffer between them and their userbase.

It’s really hard to beat a branded Xbox controller, these days. I was extremely skeptical for a long time, then I gave one a shot, and there’s no going back.

It’s certainly impressive, but I feel like the liberties taken with some of the modern polish don’t do it for me. It looks like a shiny plastic toy.

I’m a fan of using Doomsday with sane settings and HD textures, but keeping the original sprites. You can dial things in to look pretty, but still feel true to the original art style and mood.
