Yep, this, it’s the same client as the original but the update adds the reforged additions. I downloaded all of the files with the -image arg on my Windows rig and copied everything to my steam deck then added it as a non-steam game and the force proton compatibility option.

Next week:

  • One of the products cancelled
  • SteamOS 3 renamed SteamOS: Freeman

This is something that still disappoints me despite all the updates made to add immersion. The street food vendors just kind of hang out and stare at you. That and how every vendor interaction is just popping open their inventory and grabbing things.

I remember Postal 2 having a really clunky attempt at customer to vendor speech interactions where both were NPCs. Not as cool as a ridable metro system, but still.

I’ve been curious for a while if it’s one person or just an internal developer culture thing for weird and boneheaded UI decisions on the Battlefield team.

Like BF3 and having to load into games through your web browser (even the single player campaign).

Forgot I’ve had it for a year but ended up buying expedition 33 on steam. I used the price hike as an excuse for cancelling it finally.

Maybe something like sneaking through the bowels of an Arsenal Gear-like BT?

Shiet, I’m still having this problem with more recent Naughty Dog games. Getting the hint option that pops up when you’ve been stuck somewhere for a while in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered embarrasses me. Though I am thankful that it’s there.

They retired/vaulted the rest because they don’t break double the production costs during opening week, or whatever unrealistic expectation they have for dumping everything into hype over substance.

Best we can do is include Gabe Logan in a live service game as a paid character ($80).

Fuck it, let’s just ban any and every app that involves or simulates currency and uses chance as a mechanic that interacts with that currency.

Tokens that can be redeemed for a chance of a cosmetic reward? Gambling.

Credits used to pay for upkeep of an LLM that may or may not generate an expected output? Also gambling.

Subscription for a service that promises XYZ and delivers less than 100% during its service period? Believe it or not, gambling.

It’s all in the numbers. Number one, that’s terror.

Dark Age of Camelot, heard it was one of the best MMOs of its time. By the time I heard of it and had a PC I could play it on, most of the player base had moved on to other games.
