Thanks all the same Valve. For 900 or more, you can keep it. We’re good. 👍

Honestly, most of my GoG library are free key I get from our family prime sub. I play them on my Deck using Heroic launcher, for example I’ve got Dredge for free on Gog and brought the Dlc expansion later. Everything worked like a charm on the Deck (Heroic launcher).

Geoff Keighley and company are back again, revealing the nominees for the 2025 edition of The Game Awards, which will stream live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 11, 2025. This year the one to beat is Sandfall Interactive’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which has received 12 nominations, and the most in the show’s history. Those 12 nominations nearly double the next nearest nominee in Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Yōtei with seven. Supergiant Games’ Hades II has six nominations, while Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong has five. Making things interesting is that Clair Obscur, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hades II and Hollow Knight: Silksong are all up for Game of the Year, alongside Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Nintendo’s Donkey Kong Bananza. Meanwhile, horror fans have a few nominees to cheer for this year, with Konami’s Silent Hill f receiving four nominations (which is sadly less than what Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 received last year), id Software’s Doom: The Dark Ages garnering three, and Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight getting two nominations. From Software’s Elden Ring Nightreign received its lone nomination in Best Multiplayer Game, while Survios’ Alien: Rogue Incursion has a nomination in Best VR Game alongside Twisted Pixel Games’ Marvel’s Deadpool VR and MoonHood’s The Midnight Walk. Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem and CD Projekt Red’s The Wticher IV also received nods in the Most Anticipated Game. Fans can vote now in all categories via the official website.

People seriously underestimate the performance that you can pull out from some medium-level hardware with an highly-optimized OS. I mean, just watch what they were able to archive with the Deck.

The success of the Steam Deck clearly proves how many pc users prefer a ready to go console-like experience, over high performance. Anything under 850 will sell like crazy. And considering that this is a Linux pc, i saw this as an absolute win. 2026 could really be the year of Linux.

I don’t care. From now on, i’ll always call it Steam Cube.

“Hey… psss. Hey Koji”

“Mmmmm… what?”

“Someone offered you to make a Matrix videogame.”

“W.what!? …When?”

“Last night. You where wasted as fk.”

I would say that this is a good moment to as any to cancel your subscription to prime.

I’m honestly sorry for any fan of nintendo, this is getting worse day by day.

They’ve reached over 1 million signs, still, some thousands more for good luck are always welcome. All they ask is your id number.

Someone is starting to lose their cool here…

Valve has now published a statement confirming that "the recent leak being reported did not breach Steam systems" and that Steam account passwords aren't affected. https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/533224478739530146

We decided to reverse-engineer its NVIDIA SoC, and reveal the spces of its CPU and GPU, even head to a FIB-SEM to ensure its process node! We'd also simulate the performance on a similar PC to see how powerful is Switch 2. Stay tuned!

Being a deck owner not over obsessed in the latest tripe A games.

Considering that 99% of other “portable consoles” on the market are actually handhelds pc, which can download it fron Steam… No. It won’t be.

Considering this console comes after the Deck and the other handhelds, shouldn’t be the other way around?

Btw to answer the question:

  • Few exclusive titles (for now)

  • Not great performance to some last year triple A game (like cyberpunk 2077)

  • The damn price of the games

The answer is: Yes. Any decently performing handheld right now is a better alternative. RIGHT NOW. In a year, with more exclusive titles and ( let’s hope) better game prices, who knows.

As long as you understand the terms of your agreement with Steam as a platform, everything is fine. Physical media for games are outdated anyway, especially with frequent updates, patches, and DLC releases. Regarding older titles that are no longer supported, well, as the saying goes: “If buying isn’t owing…”

Ex developer at Bethesda quit his job after 14 years and made this heavy metal horror game as a solo dev with no publisher

If you stop a second to consider the absurdity to sell a 10-year-old title at an higher price of triple-A games released this year. Maybe it does.

I’ve been playing Elden Ring since the beginning of September and I’m not even sure if I’ve reached halfway through yet.

I mean… Cmon! There are literally whole dungeons hidden behind fricking fake walls!!! FAKE!! WALLS!!!

…i love this game.

From the graphical comparison i’ve seen online i can’t but agree with than. And the price is quite excessive for a 10 year old game.

Ok. I’ll still play the game with no PSN. They’ll just not get any money x it. 🤷‍♀️

People should really stop doing that kind of bullshit. If you didn’t like the remake post your opinion somewhere, but trying to falsify others scores is a douche move.

Maybe this winter I’ll enjoy some super laggy gameplay

Are you telling me that this late 90’s game priced 19,50 won’t sell as well as a modern indie game sold for less???..

…shocking

" Mooom"

“Yes honey?”

“What unholy means?”

“What?.. Well is the opposite of holy, so something not sacred or loved dy God”

“WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU PLAYING ON THAT THING!?!!”

As pc gamer (and new Deck owner) i've started to check any good game deal, mostly x games on Steam but not only. I've soon realize that there are great site like Humble to use to buy keys for cheap, but also "shady" sites with very low price who apparently sell non working keys or try to scam you. Did we have a list of the "Safest" site where buy games???

We’ve limited ourselves to only one game per series, and of course there are many frightening adventures not included here. No list will be exhaustive, but our choices reflect a wide range of looks and styles and gameplay that will surely appeal to the fearmonger in any horror fan. If you find thrills in chills, and crave things that go bump in the night, this is for you.

The tool, called Nightshade, messes up training data in ways that could cause serious damage to image-generating AI models. Is intended as a way to fight back against AI companies that use artists’ work to train their models without the creator’s permission. When they fed Stable Diffusion just 50 poisoned images of dogs and then prompted it to create images of dogs itself, the output started looking weird—creatures with too many limbs and cartoonish faces. With 300 poisoned samples, an attacker can manipulate Stable Diffusion to generate images of dogs to look like cats. ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/5bef33f4-791a-48fc-a4fc-d28a1a2734f0.jpeg)

Whether it's for unique gameplay design, beautiful aesthetics or satisfying combat, these 15 overlooked indie games stood out to me.
