I think the underpaying would be not having nearly as many employees as similar sized companies. They could have several divisions producing games while also developing their hardware and software. He has been happy to make changes at a slower pace while their store keeps taking large cuts of each sale.

AAA has gotten too risk adverse. They can’t have a flop, they only want big hits. Its why they keep pushing micro transactions as it let’s a single title bring in more and more money. Its also the reason a lot of AA studios are starting to get the biggest hits. They are willing to take a risk to create something truely amazing.

I haven’t subbed to gamepads for years because I knew this would eventually happen. Gamepass was designed to get people used to not purchasing games and instead letting them come to them. Subscribers now have to chose between paying even more each month or losing access to the library of games available to them.

It would be nice if we had both options. Let people matchmake for the default experience and let those that prefer custom servers to use those instead. There are problems with using only community hosted servers, such as game rules and less ideal admins.
That being said, the longevity that community servers offer is likely the reason they have been scrapped by EA. They want everyone to move to the next title that comes out like what people do with CoD.
EDIT: Typos from mobile

Unfortunately for Apple, right now gaming on Linux is a better experience than gaming on Mac, which is really saying something. One has to wonder why Apple doesn’t take a page from Valve’s book and develop a compatibility layer for macOS like Valve’s Proton platform, which has brought hundreds of Windows games to Linux.
I guess PC Gamer hasn’t heard of Crossover or Whisky, both of which bring that functionality to Mac.
I think one of the largest issues with Mac gaming is the cost is higher if you only care about gaming. Why would you spend more to play on Mac when you could get the same performance for much cheaper. Right now the only market is single computer users that chose Mac first for other reasons that do not have a console for gaming.

I agree. You hit all of the points that I felt the game fell short.
The castle was beautiful, but we didn’t spend rough time in it. Much of the open world felt like filler and it just wasn’t as enjoyable to be in.
The combat felt out of place in this game. Having a student running around killing people should not have been as normalized as it was. I think a focus on more non combat magic would have worked better. Some combat would be OK, but it should have been far rarer.
Fuck the AI companies buying up all of the RAM. Maybe its time to get a new GPU for my wife while they are still somewhat affordable.
