Would be nice if they released tool or code necessary for anyone else to spin up a server if they do desired, though.

Juuust in case this wasn’t sarcasm, or anyone reading it doesn’t realize it’s sarcasm: much of the world uses commas instead of periods for a decimal separator.

I believe it is a Russian website, and translated into English secondly.

Nah. No one, not even Gabe Newell, deserves a billion dollars. The very act of having that much wealth when there are still hungry and homeless people is in itself evil.

using it correctly

I’m not entirely sure what you mean here, as I think a lot of games use it well. I do wish more games would though. The adaptive triggers are so fucking cool.

What statistics that they show you for year in review are very very wrong?

Also seems like the cartridge system is prime for getting sued by companies.

Why?

Literally any more information than that would be helpful. Genre? Graphic style? What console?

Also, try TipofmyJoystick community. Genuinely made for this.

That’s a shame. I have it on the wishlist but I admit I didn’t feel super grabbed by it. I hope the devs can land on their feet elsewhere, there’s a lot of talent there.

Hey you know how we haven’t made a great first party game in over a decade?

I personally don’t think anyone should pay for xbox game pass, but this is a bit of an exaggeration imho. Xbox Game Studios have published some great games in the past decade. Among them, in no particular order:

  • Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition
  • Age of Empires 4
  • Psychonauts 2
  • A couple of Forza games
  • Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps
  • Hellblade 2
  • Grounded
  • As Dusk Falls

I have a feeling the folks at Owlcat were Mass Effect fans.

Sorry that I was not more clear. The company is paying the employee 120k gross, yes, but then also paying other things behind the scenes like other taxes and unemployment insurance, etc.

Thought you might be being a bit harsh but wow, no you’re right.

GenAI is a fancy text predictor. It can and will make shit up, because it simply does not know what it is saying. Why would an assistant the likes of which you suggest not just be scripted “traditionally”?

You don’t have to like Fortnite or even Epic to sympathize with 1,000 people losing their livelihoods.

I grew up with them when they were still two different companies and contrary to most fans, I still like their games.

I wonder how much the C Suite’s compensation package shrunk by.

Long press is by far more annoying to me than the disguised loading screens.

The user is correct in that the modularity of a home PC is not the most efficient way for the electronics to communicate, and therefore some performance is lost.

I would also point out that while a PS5 has known, defined specs that a developer can plan for, a PC could be pretty much any specs. And while yes the dev can state a minimum spec requirement, but if they are launching on PC they are going to want to target a wide audience.

A promise from Microsoft? Now that’s a valuable thing indeed.

I’ll wait for all the fixes and improvements, then.

Does look like a dope game though, probably a 50% off pick up for me in a year.

First cousins share a grandparent.

Second cousins share a great grandparent.

Third cousins share a great, great grandparent, and so on.

Nth cousin = greats + 1.

Using genAI to make fun of genAI sure is a position to take.

That would be first cousin and step sister, actually. A second cousin and step sister would be your dad marrying your mom’s cousin’s daughter.

Surely that only tells you the sentiment of people… who also use the add-on. I don’t really see how that can correlate to the overall public sentiment.

With respect, what’s “everything” and what’s “well”?

Stardew, Factorio, and Rimworld have certain qualities that make long playtimes more likely. But that doesn’t inherently make them more valuable experiences, imho.

I think that Last of Us 1 and 2 are masterpieces. But I’ve only played them once each, and that’s okay.

This genuinely looks insane. If reviews and performance is good, I think I’ll be picking this up.

I care. GenAI and AI bullshit is general is a massive ethical, environmental, and socio-economic mine field.

Would be hilarious for AMD to have overtaken Intel in CPU just for Intel to overtake AMD on GPUs. Competition is good for us consumers.
